As the nation’s largest telecommunications provider, Telkomsel wanted its new building to signals the company’s continued prominence within the industry. The headquarter wants to provide a sustainable workplace that increases business productivity and collaboration for its forward-thinking industry leaders.

The complex consists of a multi-story podium that links the main 50-story and the 20-story new office towers with an already existing building. The main 220 meter tall office tower integrates with the latest sustainability design strategies, from high-performance double-glazing, mitigation of solar heat gain, innovative water reclamation, and reuse techniques, as well as corridors that receive plenty of natural light.

The complex has a wide array of amenities including an auditorium, a mosque, a fitness center and a sun-shading facade that reduces heat gain by 30% throughout the main public space. The facade's design pays homage to traditional Indonesian textiles with combining a contemporary dichroic glass coupled with an ornate metal screen inspired by the batik patterns.
